May I ask you a question, how do you expect someone to love you if you don’t love you?
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 says that “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”
The first place in finding love is in you. Forgiving yourself and asking GOD for forgiveness for whatever there is that you do not like in your life whether present or past is a must to start that process of loving you. I am always saying love yourself. My thing is how you expect someone else to love you if you don’t love you. Better yet the bible says love thy neighbor as you love your self; if you don’t love you then you not giving that neighbor that love as required in the bible. When I say love you, I am talking about in every area; respect yourself, care about yourself, protect yourself, like yourself, just to name a few.
When you are in that process of loving you, find out what you like and enjoy doing. By doing this, it is a way of you not only telling someone what you like to do but also it will help you to help someone that does not love themselves. GOD wants you to love you, so get busy in finding that inner you.
Most people may not love themselves because of how they have been treated by others. Remember that GOD defines you not other people. You were made in his image so therefore what others say doesn’t mean a thing. Psalms 139:14 says, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
Read, study, pray, and meditate on the word as it will help guide you into loving yourself. Below are a few reference scriptures.
Proverbs 19:8 “Whoever gets sense loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will discover good.”
1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
1 John 3:1 “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”
Romans 13:8-10 “Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”
Luke 6:27 “But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you”
When you get to the point where you love yourself you have made a connection with GOD. I want you to start today with speaking a positive word over yourself, speak life into you, show love to you, tell yourself daily those three words (I LOVE YOU SAY YOUR NAME), smile and be happy.
As always continue to read the word, pray over the word, study the word, and meditate on the word. GOD Bless You Much Love Minister Clara Peters
