Proverbs 29 “Love and Fear of GOD”

If People Can’t See What God Is Doing

He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.  When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.  Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.

The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.  A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.  In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.  The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.  If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.  The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.  A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.  If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.  The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the Lord lighteneth both their eyes.

The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.  The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.  When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.  Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.  Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.  Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.  He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.  An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.

A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.  Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.  The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.  Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the Lord.  An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

GOD laid a foundation that we should follow.  As long as you love GOD, fear GOD, and abide by him then you will be able to live that life that will give you that entire life GOD has promised you.  Don’t miss what GOD has planned for your life by not being obedient.

Be careful how you treat the poor as GOD sees it all and will judge the one treating the poor badly as we are not to judge.  People judge at all times, anyone that knows me would say you never judge anyone.  Only GOD can judge me so why would I judge another.  If you do what you know will make GOD happy that is all that matters, and yes that could bring judgment to you from others but it’s not about them.  AMEN

Once again, GOD laid the foundation so if you follow his foundation with your children then you should feel good about disciplining them.  Don’t just let your child(ren) do what he or she wants.  If you discipline them from an early age that will help them to discipline themselves, which is what you want so that when it is time for them to leave you and go out into the world they know what to do and what not to do.

Of course sin will increase when the wicked are in authority/leadership.  When in a leadership position your action is put upon everyone under you.  Their ways will sometime be altered because of what they see you doing.  Be mindful of the kind of leader you want to be and be that leader.  You control that temperature, you control that atmosphere, and you control it all but know that GOD is watching you.

Be that wise person that will listen and speak when it is time to, don’t be like a fool that has to talk at all times.  Me personally feels as though that if someone feels the need to talk all the time it is because they like to hear himself/herself talk which makes it seems as though they know much but really it is just a cover up.  You can’t cover up to GOD; once again he sees it all.

Divine guidance is when you are receiving word by GOD from a prophet.  In order to function you will need to know GOD’s ways and follow by his commandments.  Don’t be ignorant as to who GOD is and what he wants from you.  Seek him, read his word, and know that he wants the best for you always.

Where there is no vision the people will perish.  Seek GOD for that vision.

Yes the Godly and the wicked despises each other, however it’s because neither wants to live the life of the other.  The way of GOD is the way to live but the wicked sees that as giving up the power they have.  Pray for the wicked that they will change their ways and become in alignment with GOD.

Ask yourself these questions.

  1. Why would I fear man?
  2. Why should I trust GOD?
  3. Why would I want to sin?
  4. Who will give me what GOD does?
  5. Do you think you can live the life you want without him?
  6. Do I want to continue doing it alone?

Remember to pray, read, pray again, and meditate on the word as you seek GOD for the guidance to get where you want to be in life.  He will never leave you; he will be there with you at all times.  If you feel as though you are alone, connect with someone that you feel that can help you on your journey.
