Proverbs 18 “Words Kill, Words Give Life”

Words Kill, Words Give Life

Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.  A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.  When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.  The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.

It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.  A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.  A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.  The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.  The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.  The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.  Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.  He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?  The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.  A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.  He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.  The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty.

A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.  A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.  Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.  The poor useth intreaties; but the rich answereth roughly.  A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

A man must crave to have wisdom before it comes to him. The Bible says if you want wisdom to pray and GOD will give you wisdom.  One problem with so many today in communicating with GOD is that we don’t want to disconnect ourselves and believe on the effects of GOD and pray, but we will get answers for our prayers and we will receive wisdom in the development of seeking.

The tongue is a mighty weapon and either brings death or life in its speaking. With the tongue, confession is made unto salvation. It is better to be humble and discerning than proud and foolish.  Have a better mindset in which you can apply in several areas of life, such as speech, wealth, decision-making, and arguments. Be careful of who you let speak to you because some of that is not good for your intake mentally or spiritually.  Do not gossip or adhere to, GOD does not like gossipers.  Before you make a decision, make sure you are open minded and have all the facts.  Don’t judge….only GOD can.

It is good to be married.  GOD created marriages for our enjoyment and pronounced it good.  When you are put together by GOD and do by it according to him you will be truly bless.  There are a lot of people that is lonely but you have to be opened to friend(s) that are true to self and you.  If you are not sure of how to be that true friend yourself then ask GOD how you can do that and he will guide you.

The best friend you can have loves you, not because of what you have done, but in spite of what you have done. Their love has no conditions attached.  This is the kind of love Jesus had for all of us when He came and died on the cross for us while we were yet in sin. He died for us and saved us, not because we were worthy, but because He loved us.

If you are separated from a family member or a friend for whatever reason, seek GOD and see if that relationship needs to be repaired or should you move on.  Some relationships can be mended, some are not but make sure that GOD is leading you to do it or it will lead to the same.

Make sure you read today, pray, meditate on the word and be encouraged.  GOD Bless You Much Love
