“Who AM I”

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come

First of all you are a child of GOD, once you know that then things in your life will come together as he will see fit.  GOD has a purpose and a plan for you, get to know him so he can direct you in who you are or what you are to be doing with your bless life.

Finding yourself is a process you go through in finding out who you are.  Remember who you are has already been determined; however you just have to figure it out according to GOD.  Get in your quiet place so you can hear when he speaks.

There will be questions that you would want to ask yourself in this process of finding yourself.  What do I like, what are my desires, what makes me happy just to give you a couple of questions.  Write these questions down along with what you think the answer should be.

Below are bible verses to read and meditate on that is who you are in Christ.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 5: 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own

Each day you should say an affirmation or several affirmations on which you are.  Here are some examples.

  • I am a child of GOD as John 1:12 states but as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of GOD, even to those who believe in him.
  • I am a friend of Jesus as John 15:15 states no longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.  AMEN
  • I am a new creature in Christ as it is stated in 2 Corinthians 5:17 he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.  GLORY
  • I am free in Christ as Galatians 5:1 state it was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.  AMEN
  • I am in the light as Ephesians 5:8 states you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light.  AMEN

“I AM” statements in the Bible;

I AM the bread of Life. (John 6:35)

I AM the light of the world. (John 8:12)

I AM the door. (John 10:9)

I AM the Good shepherd. (John 10:11)

I AM the resurrection and the life. (John 11:25)

I AM the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6)

I AM the vine. (John 15:5)

“Don’t Quit”

Luke 18:1 Then He spoke a parable to them that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.

These two words should be embedded in your mind so while you are on that journey that GOD has you on you don’t do it.  That journey sometimes gets hard and when it does we will say.  No I can’t do this anymore I quit.  That is the easy way out, DON’T QUIT press on as the enemy wants you to do that and not reach all that GOD has just for you.

If we live according to the word and know that GOD hears us as it is stated in 1 Peter 3:12, “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil” he will help us in what we are praying for.  “DON’T QUIT”

No matter what don’t quit just lean on GOD as he hears you and as long as you are faithful to him he will reward you mightily.  Yes it will get hard and you will get frustrated while going through your journey but as long as you have GOD on your side you will get through it just remember DON’T QUIT.

There will be people looking for you to quit as they do not want you to reach your full potential but stay focus and know that your reward for your hard work will be well worth it in the end.

Read the word, stay focus on what you are doing, be accountable, meditate daily, and always pray.  Below are some scripture for your reading.

Philippians 3:12-14 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Luke 17:1 Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.

“THINK before you SPEAK”

Proverbs 17:28   Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.”

When in a deep conversation, be careful about your responses as they may not come out right depending on your tone.  Always make sure your tone and the way you say something is on point as you not coming off arrogant or with an attitude.

As the other person or persons are speaking, formulate in your mind your response so that when you decide to speak your communicate is the way you want it to be.  Don’t ever let anyone take you out of your zone. Effective communication is the key to all things so therefore we should be mindful of what we say in all situations before we speak.

Remember once you say something, you cannot take it back, be mindful of that.  The words you may speak will affect the other person one way or another so choose your words and the way you speak those words carefully.

If you think negatively then you will speak negatively, however, if you speak positively, you will speak positively.

Philippians 4:4-8 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

James 3:9-12 “With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness.  Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.   Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?  My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.”

I Got Flowers Today

I got flowers today. It wasn’t my birthday or any other special day. We had our first argument last night, And he said a lot of cruel things that really hurt me. I know he is sorry and didn’t mean the things he said. Because he sent me flowers today.

I got flowers today. It wasn’t our anniversary any other special day. Last night, he threw me into a wall and started to choke me. It seemed like a nightmare. I couldn’t believe it was real. I woke up this morning sore and bruised all over. I know he must be sorry. Because he sent me flowers today.

I got flowers today, and it wasn’t Mother’s Day or any other special day. Last night, he beat me up again. And it was much worse than all the other times. If I leave him, what will I do? How will I take care of my kids? What about money? I’m afraid of him and scared to leave. But I know he must be sorry. Because he sent me flowers today.

I got flowers today. Today was a very special day. It was the day of my funeral. Last night, he finally killed me. He beat me to death. If only I had gathered enough courage and strength to leave him, I would not have gotten flowers…today.
